Storyline

Reviews: There is only one amazing thing in this film and that is casting of Sandeep Bhardwaj as Veerappan. He is so excellent that you have to constantly remind yourself that he is an actor not Veerappan. His expression, body language, personality and eyes are impeccable for this role. Film is unnecessarily violent. Many flashes of elephant being shot, persons are being chopped with axe and face being crushed with stone. One time was bearable but many times and even in flashback. What! They want to establish Veerappan brutality who is already extra established for his insane ruthlessness. Lacking production value is another hindrance. There is no para-military forces or joint military operation with state Police. Crossing inter state border in front of chasing state Police by Veerappan and his gang looks like that few kids have crossed village border. They prefer to show a single police officer handling the complete operation, going to chase him in childish disguise, by fixing fake long beard over stubble, getting caught then escaping by dropping a waist pouch, which blasts like dusty atom bomb. They try to stuff comedy in this film too, like Veerappan wife lamenting like a common wife of her hardship in forest, a Police personal joking that Veerappan should be invited for birthday this way they will catch him. Police personal widow joking to Veerappan wife that her husband is Osama Bin Laden. What were all this!? Sorry to say but it was not comedy but over creative slap. Film is completely boring. Long montages of Police widow befriending with Veerappan wife. Then convincing her to call his husband to a farm house!? Suddenly a terrorist angle surfaces and sinks without notice. This film is based on amateur rumor rather than on deep research. If all things were fact then there was no need to make a film on it. Torturing with high BP causing injection with an antidote of it!? Climax scene is so lame that Police officer is having coffee while waiting to arrange Veerapan encounter. All scenes are just for the sake of makers.

Reviews: The film starts pretty good. The atmosphere is very early set, characters are introduced, and they all do a pretty good and convincing job – albeit with the occasional cliché (but you can overlook that).
The problem of the main character is revealed about one third into the movie, and then the solution starts. But, I don’t know what exactly happened, perhaps they lost all their money, but in no time and for no good reason it just ends. there is no build up, no explanation given, it just ends. half of the introduced mysteries of the movie are not explained.

Storyline

Reviews: Iggy Pop is inspired casting as Bill. His performance is beautifully nuanced and controlled. The relationship between Bill and his young wife Isabelle is entirely convincing. Kacey Barnfield is an alluring femme fatale – but just how calculating is she? The plot twists and turns, keeping the viewer guessing. Ben Lamb as spoiled brat Lucas is suitably shifty. Antonio Magro makes David, the clueless pool boy, a believable character. The Ibizan setting works well – Bill strides through the landscape like the protagonist of a sinister Spaghetti Western – and the villa is an ideal backdrop for the drama to play out. Toby Tobias is a skilled director and writer who isn’t afraid to take risks and knows how to ramp up tension. It’s become the fashion to make overlong, overblown films. At 85 minutes, Blood Orange avoids any self indulgence and keeps the viewer enthralled throughout.

Reviews: X-Men: Apocalypse is absolutely amazing! The early reviewers don’t seem to understand these characters and they don’t understand this film. It sets a new precedent for comic book films in a world over-saturated with adaptations.
The film hits every nostalgic and aesthetic beat it’s supposed to without devolving into pure fan service. The writing is great. The allegory the mutant plight is for civil rights is given its due screen time. The characterization of the superheroes goes beyond their powers and outfits and at least touches the heart of who they are as people. Its main fault is juggling so many characters and so some of the acting comes off as stilted at times. In a way this is also its strength, because it manages to tell a coherent and compelling narrative with a large ensemble cast of characters, emulating the source material faithfully. It is a comic book fan’s film……X-Men Apocalypse 2016 HDCAM.

Reviews: ‘The Tag-Along’ takes a well-known urban legend in Taiwan and turns it into a bone-chilling mystery built around themes of loss, regret and familial love. Depending on your knowledge of Taiwanese folklore, you may or may not have heard of the ‘little girl in red’, who was infamously captured by a group of climbers on home video making their way along a mountain trail. That video was broadcast on television way back in 1988, and since then, others have reported similar sightings of a little girl in a red dress just before they had met with some form of calamity. Legend has it that the girl is a mountain demon known as ‘mo-sien’ (or 魔神仔 in Chinese), which preys on fear and guilt and is particularly drawn to children and the elderly.
So it is that the first to disappear in the film is an elderly woman who happens to be good friends with our lead male protagonist’s grandma (Liu Yin–shang), a curmudgeonly lady confronted with the same fate one typical morning after making breakfast for her grandson Wei (River Huang). It will be a couple of days before Wei realises that she has gone missing – despite being his caretaker from young, Wei’s busy work schedule as a real estate agent have kept the two apart in recent times, leaving his grandmother in constant lament about how little he sleeps every night and how little time he spends at home with her. Their estrangement is also in part due to Wei’s relationship with his girlfriend Yi-chun (Hsu Wei Ning), who harbours no plans to get married, settle down or have kids even after five years, much to Wei’s grandmother’s dismay.
